Борщ, вообще-то, блюдо украинское.
Истинно русские блюда:
Любые пироги, щи, каша, кисели, уха - т.е. прозрачный суп из рыбы или птицы, рассольник, окрошка, блины
Blinchiki
Ingredients: 3 glasses of warm water; 2 glasses of flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, ½ teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
In a large mixing bowl, blend water, oil, sugar, flour, and salt. Make sure the batter is uniform and the consistency of thick cream. Add water if it’s too thick or flour if too thin.
Lightly grease a 5 to 6 inch skillet and heat it well. Pour approximately 3 tablespoons batter into the skillet. Swirl to make the batter cover the skillet's bottom. Cook until golden, flip and cook on opposite side.
Serve with syrup, jelly, fresh or canned fruit, apple butter if offered for dessert, or with smoked fish, mushroom caviar, eggplant caviar, etc.
