как правильно подготовть фотографию?

в связи с тем что правила известны, пора готовить телеги и сани.

цифровое фото сделать не трудно, вопрос в том, как правильно его подготовить? какое расширение должно быть у файла с фото, для того чтобы его проглотил валидатор. под каким соусом он его любит?

если размер фото: ширина 320, высота 240 пикселей, то несколько не понятно, каким образом добиться чтобы лидцо занимало 50% площади снимка, ведь пропорции головы обратны.

какой оптимальный цвет фона?

понимаю, тема старая, но все таки прошу помочь.

Если FAQ, где всё расписано про фото на travel.state....., то был бы признателен за линк! Что-то не нахожу там ничего о фото.

The image file must adhere to the following compositional specifications and technical specifications and can be produced in one of the following ways:

Taking a new digital image.

Using a digital scanner to scan a submitted photograph.



Compositional Specifications: The submitted digital image must conform to the following compositional specifications or the entry will be disqualified.

Head Position

Person being photographed must directly face the camera.

Head of the person should not be tilted up, down, or to the side.

Head of the person should cover about 50% of the area of the photo.

Background

Person being photographed should be in front of a neutral, light-colored background.

Dark or patterned backgrounds are not acceptable.

Focus

Photo must be in focus.

Decorative Items

Photos in which the person being photographed is wearing sunglasses or other items that detract from the face will not be accepted.

Head Coverings and Hats

Photos of applicants wearing head coverings or hats are only acceptable due to religious beliefs, and even then, may not obscure any portion of the face of the applicant.

Photos of applicants with tribal or other headgear not specifically religious in nature will not be accepted.

Photos of military, airline, or other personnel wearing hats will not be accepted.



Technical Specifications: The submitted digital photograph must conform to the following specifications or the system will automatically reject the EDV Entry Form and notify the sender.

Спасибо, но я не об этом.

Дело всё в той же старой истории. В требованиях к сканированой фотографии говорится о 50% площади, в то же время на сайте state.gov размещён пример фото, где голова (Full Face) занимает порядка 20%, но утверждается, что это и есть около 50%. Т.о. не совсем понятно, что понимается под словом "area". Я думал, что нашлись разъяснения на сайте госдепа, т.к. omni написал о каких-то FAQ. Вопрос обсуждался на Форуме, но ясности нет.

А у меня такой глупый вопрос: какой вид фото по опыту прошлых лет чаще съедается этим валидатором, цифровое или сканенное, или разницы нету?

нет-нет, я о том же о чем и антниус. под правилами написаны требования к фоткам. Насчет бумажного оригинала: идете в фотоателье с русскими правилами в руках, официальный перевод которых я скоро расскажу где искать. тычите носом в них фотографа. мол лицо 50% площади а не плечи + лицо. фото 50/50 а не 4/6. Т.е. сам оригинал, согласно правилам, уже должен соответствовать заявке, а не сканировать абы че и потом растягивать лицо на 50/50. Удачи!

Антониус привёл правила DV для фото. С правилами всё понятно.

1.По правилам лицо должно занимать ~ 50% "area".

Под area мы (и все словари) понимаем площадь

2.На сайте госдепа есть пример фото (для следующего этапа, не для подачи), где лицо НЕ занимает ~ 50% площади, но написано, что занимает 50%.

3.Вопрос: Правильно ли мы делаем, посылая фото с лицом 50% площади, если в госдепе считают, что "area" есть что-то другое.

4.Похоже, что в прошлом году проходили оба типа фотографий, из чего не следует, что в этом году будет тоже самое.

В прошлом году точно проходили фотки на которых голова (а не лицо) занимала ~ 50% площади. Есть примеры выйгрышей на форуме.

Возник другой вопрос. Может он, и появлялся в обсуждениях. Интересно узнать соображения по нему.

При формировании фото редактором (тем же PHOTOSHOP) в файл записывается куча информации, в частности параметр - программа создатель.

Вопрос убирать ее или не убирать?
