В принципе Вам уже Майк ответил, но скажу так. Я спросил обычного "охранника в будке". Вернее сторожа. Я считаю, что даже $9.50 за эту работу много.
А вот имненно охрана, каких-то серьёзных объектов дело не простое. Тот же охранник рассказывал мне как работал на "bus station" и гонял там негров и мексов. Так они каждый день угрожали его убить прямо в глаза, перелазили через забор их надо было ловить и т.д. Он с этой работы просто бежал. Зарплата - те же $9.50 Да, я считаю эту профессию либо профессией неудачников (как мой знакомый) либо пенсионеров-студентов.
Более серьёзно это полиция. Там зарплаты повыше. Но за эти денежки надо бегать по жаре и снегу в бронежилете, ночами выходить в дежурства (а не спать в будке), стрелять, и уворачиваться от пуль в том числе.
Поэтому, мистер "Профессионал", если вас такая "более серьёзная" работа интересует, то спрашивайте, но забывайте про вежливость.

Job Purpose:



Maintain safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.



All shifts available FT/PT positions in North and South West Philadelphia.

Must have Act 235.

Background must include either police officer, sheriff, constable, or correction facility officer training.

Pay rate $16/hour.

Эта позиция подразумевает опыт работы в полиции и, соответственно, гражданство + полицейскую академию.

А так - позвоните, поговорите, может быть даже сходите и разузнайте все на месте. Но я думаю, что больше чем на 13.50 рассчитывать не придется (то есть примерно 26-27К в год). Хотя возможно, если будут оплачивать сверхурочные, то может получиться немного лучше.

Круто.. я программистом в США ехал на $22 в час. Платили правда как оказалось $0 в мес, но к кидалову я был готов. Надо было ехать ВОХРом значит.

Как лично мне кажется опыт в вооружённых силах других стран учитываться не будет (во всяком случае в положительную сторону)
