    Город: Daly City, CA

    В головном офисе (Daly City) в основном русско-говорящие инженеры, манагеры, да и CTO наш тоже может. Контора стабильная, кадры текут медленно.

    Формальное описание ниже. Неформально могу сказать, что требования в формальном описании завышенные. Нужен человел с бэкграундом в программировании и вообще инжиниринге. Английской должен быть приличный. Акцент, и то, что неродной - не страшно; но с клиентами нужно мочь обясниться, и должно быть понятно. Нужно будет разобраться с набором продуктов, знать их глюки, знать чего и как клиентам ответить. Насколько знаю, на этой позиции есть <on call>, т.е. дежурства, за которые потом выходные дают.

    Summary of the Position
    Candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical support for computer telephony software products. The position requires a high degree of technical skill, the ability to solve challenging technical issues and handle multiple high priority tasks in a fast moving environment with a demanding work schedule. Working closely with Software Engineering team, the Tier 3 Support team is responsible for delivering high quality, advanced technical support for shipping products, and providing input to Engineering for future products.

    Responsibilities
    Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems
    • Analyze software configuration problems and defects
    • Interface with other departments, including Engineering and Product Management, to address customers' issues in the most effective manner
    • Participate in the process of product improvement by providing feedback on the product quality and reviewing Technical Documentation
    • Write advanced troubleshooting guides and develop and administer technical TOIs to train other Technical Support groups and customers
    • On-site troubleshooting when required
    • Follow Support methodology and required standards
    Qualifications
    The right individual must possess good communication and organizational skills, be independent, self-motivated, disciplined and detail-oriented, with strong decision-making abilities, and be able to learn quickly as well as adapt and respond to new situation and requirements.
    • A degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical fields or equivalent experience.
    • 5+ years of experience in at least two of the following areas:
    o RDBMS (MS SQL, Oracle, DB2)
    o Software Development (C++, Java, XML)
    o TCP/IP Networking
    o Telephony: ISDN, CAS, T1/E1, Dialogic
    o Operating systems: Unix (Solaris, AIX) and Windows OS
    • Well developed communication skills:
    o Demonstrate good listening skills and the ability to accept input from others
    o Communicate well with different levels of the organization
    o Effectively communicate progress, status and problems in a timely manner
    o Communicate technical information effectively both verbally and in written form in a manner that is clear, concise, grammatically correct, organized, well thought out/planned, professional
