A real unknown masterpiece of Shostakovich!
Written in 1933-34, "The Tale of the Priest and his Worker, Balda" is the music to the lost cartoon film by Mikhail Tsekhanovsky, after a story by Pushkin.
Great singers, great orchestra and conductor... Great music!
